The Veteran Advocates of South Shore Friends of Veterans:

• Immediately assist local Veterans in need.
• Mentor struggling Veterans in the Veteran Treatment Court of Porter County, Indiana.
• Provide scholarships for the children of our post-911 military casualties through the Folds of Honor Foundation.
• Support the Northwest Indiana chapters of the:
  • American Legion
  • The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW)
  • Disabled American Veterans (DAV)
  • Indiana Patriot Guard

South Shore Friends of Veterans humbly supports families and survivors of the Sapper 6—the six members of the Valparaiso-based Indiana National Guard’s 713th Combat Engineers killed in action while deployed to Afghanistan in 2012.
